On Windows you may need to change your firewall settings to allow clients to access Nodescan Server.
On Windows 7
1) Click on the Start Menu and select “Control Panel”.
2) Click System and Security, then Windows Firewall.
3) Click Change Setttings.
4) Anywhere that JRE appears in the list, make sure that the box to the left of the list is checked, and the checkbox under “Home/Work (Private)” is checked.
5) If you want to allow clients to connect from the internet, the checkbox under “Public” also needs to be checked.
On Windows Vista
1) Click on the Start Menu and select “Control Panel”.
2) Click Security, then Windows Firewall.
3) Click Allow a program through Windows Firewall. You may be prompted for an administrator password or prompted to confirm this action.
