NodeScan’s search and indexing capability is based on the java class library called Lucene originally written by Douglass Cutting, and now maintained and improved by the Apache Software Foundation.

The Quaqua look and feel, used for the Mac OS X versions of Nodescan, was developed by Werner Randelshofer.

The Audio playback engine utilized by NodeScan, relies heavily on the work done by JCraft in developing a Java compatible implementation of Ogg Vorbis.

Thanks to Jef Poskanzer for the Acme classes.
